Tensegrity was the solution for effective shading on large span without installation of cumbersome supporting elements in the courtyard.
The repetition of kites creates nice graphic shades which drops dramatically the ground temperature during hot days. This tensile structure allows the maximisation of the ground usage not only during student's freetime but also for ceremonies and events.
